Did you know by the way that the name comes from the Greek mythology, where Pluto is not a cartoon dog but the Master of the Underworld, Hades. Hades is a cold and dark place, in contrast to the burning Hell that the Bible presents us with, and everybody that died ended up in the Underworld (no heaven for you!). To get to Hades, you had to take the ferry and pay the boatman to take you down the river Styx. The boatman’s name was Charon. There was a tradition to place coins above the eyes of people who had passed away, so that the person could pay Charon (For all of those who has seen “From Hell”, with Johnny Depp, hence the coins!)
