Graveyard pictures of the moonlit cross and angel wallpapers for your cell phone!
One of our team members took some of her photos of graveyards from around the world and edited them for mobile phone format, so that the eerie atmosphere from the burial grounds can haunt your phone.
The photos are originally shot in London, Hong Kong and Manila at different cemeteries, including: Highgate Cemetery, Hong Kong cemetery Cheung Chau, and the Chinese Cemetery in Manila. One of our crew members is dedicated to Goth, and tries to photograph graveyards whenever she is traveling.
If you want to take some cool pictures of cemeteries, try the really old ones or catholic cemeteries, since they usually are crowed with old statues and crosses, which may be more or less overgrown by weeds.
Another good advice is to check out the cemeteries for celebrities. Some of the major cities, for example Paris, offer guided tour at their older cemeteries, to show where the more famous people are buried or to share their knowledge of gravestone architecture.
So instead of visiting Disneyland next time you go to Paris, head of for Père-Lachaise Cemetery or try to locate the “Cimetiere des Saints Innocents”; the resting place for Armand and the rest of the vampires before they moved into Lestat’s theatre “Theatre of the Vampires. (The cemetery doesn’t exist anymore, since they have moved the entire cemetery a couple of hundred years ago, due to sanitary reasons. However, they have left a corner piece close to Les Halls, according to our Goth crew member. Keep your eyes open for it!)
If you want to do something different for Halloween than donating candy to little brats, we suggest that you take a trip to the closest cemetery. Mind you, go late, after everyone has left, and wander the grounds filled with candlelight in the night…
